Revered

Oi familia

ORAR! NO LLORAR! Jaja, esta bien. Yo nunca llora ya. Bueno.

ESPANOL
obviously is back in action. Though I feel like I can't say anything correctly I'm putting my best foot forward. People have told me 2 times in the past few days that my face is getting red. It's because I totally botched what I was trying to say. That, or because they just figured out that I'm lactose intolerant and I just ate a giant pepper filled with un monton de queso. What can you do? For better for worse I'll learn this language. In Martha's Vineyard I was trying to learn Portuguese because all of our friends there were Brazilian and didn't speak English, so now I'm super confused between the three languages. So is life! And life keeps going! Until it stops and that's when eternity picks up. From all sides I'd say this language couldn't possibly get me down so I have decided not to let it!

MICA
speaking of speaking Spanish (3 points for Scategories) We just finished teaching a lesson to a wonderful hermanita se llama Mica. The past few days have been full of prayers and study as we prepared to see her. We wanted the lesson to be perfect for her. She lost her husband to cancer a few months ago and has lost her parents and her sisters, also. What do you do when trial knocks you right over? Get back up! What do you do when you can't do it on your own? Pray! What do you do when you get back up but see things differently than before? CALL THE MISSIONARIES! And wouldn't you know that after just a few minutes with Mica I fell in absolute love with her? Can't wait to see her again!

MILAGROS - MIRACLES
that have happened since forever
1) First of all, we are here. We are bodies with internal organisms moving around unbeknownst to us to keeping us alive, breathing in what the plants spit out and releasing what the plants soak in. We all look different, we all think different, we all speak different, and we all function together as one. There are billions of stars in the sky and billions more that we don't even know about and there are miles of sea and land that have gone unexplored and yet there is order in it all. The sun gives us light and the moon gives us gravity and the gravity keeps us on earth and the earth moves around the sun to give us more light! Um... AWESOME

2) Secondly, I found a penny on the bus. I'm horribly bad at finding pennies.

3) Once we were on the bus and the boy in front of us was playing with his toy shark outside the window. It fell, of course. A few months prior I had found a toy car and put it in my purse where it remained until this little boy started to cry. As his mom hugged him and promised him they'd get another toy soon I placed the car in his little hand hanging over her neck. His smile was more precious than diamonds.

4) A companion once shared with me a fun play-on words with Spanish. I liked it so much that I wrote it down. Didn't find it again till today when we were teaching Mica and she handled it carefully as I explained "No llorar, orar" Don't cry, pray.

5) In Martha's Vineyard we ran out of money for food. We found a $50 gift card to the grocery store a few days later. Later that same month in Revere, when we still did not have money for food, we were given free bread at a Paneria. It lasted until we got more money this month.

6) Our bus was suuuuuper late one night and we were in a sketch part of town. Total miracle lead us to someone who gave us a ride home! We got home on time, even!

TRY
this out. Pick any event from your life. Absolutely anything. Now think about what went into that moment. I promise you'll find miracles. More than one.

OUT OF TIME
but I love you all. The best part of my mission is not that I find miracles in my own life, but that I watch others find miracles in theirs. It is an opportunity of a lifetime. If I can love people that I met only today, imagine how much love I have for all of you my dearest friends and family. Take the most care that you absolutely can and remember to ORAR, not LLORAR. Until next week

(the elders seriously called us this. Tiny little sisters.)
